6. Find Senior Discounts

The next piece of advice on our free travel checklist for seniors is to take advantage of as many discounts as possible. In fact, you’d be surprised to know that there are many companies and businesses that encourage aging people to travel, so they offer them certain discounts.

So, whenever you go, make sure you ask for senior discounts. Many places, including historical sites, churches, museums, and other attractions, offer discounted ticket prices for seniors. You can even find cheaper train tickets if you’re over a certain age.

Make sure you carry around your passport or any ID card to be able to claim those discounts. Also, although some places don’t display these kinds of deals, it wouldn’t hurt to ask the staff and check!
