7. A cruise to Alaska

If you take a cruise to Alaska, you’ll see some of the most unspoiled wilderness in the United States. In addition to the salmon, moose, caribou, bears, whales, bison, and puffins, you can also see stunning fjords, mountains, lakes, rivers, and waterways. It’s so beautiful there that we can’t stop dreaming about our next vacation!

You’ll have the best time ever during a voyage to Alaska between May and September when the weather is good, not too chilly or too hot. Since temperatures are at their maximum and the weather is often brighter in July and August, these are also the busiest months for tourists. If you don’t like crowded places, it’s probably best to avoid traveling there during that period.

Make sure you include Fairbanks on your cruise itinerary if you want to see the northern lights. We recommend you do so because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

From August 21st to April 21st, the Aurora Borealis might be seen on an average of 45% of the evenings when the sky is bright and dark enough. Alaska is a place that’s full of surprises, but you’ll have to check the moon phases before making any travel plans.
