Are you in for a city break in one of the oldest cities in Georgia? If you’re a fan of monuments, old houses, or history in general, you might want to visit Savannah at least once in your life!

Known for its warm welcome for tourists, Savannah is going to be a place where you will indulge yourself with a ton of local goodies, and relax while visiting some of the nicest museums in the country. Furthermore, if you love jazz, you will be happy to know that there are a lot of jazz concerts with not-so-costly tickets.

3. Atlanta, Georgia

Since we like Georgia so much, we didn’t hesitate to put it twice on the list! This time, we’re going to take a virtual journey to Atlanta. Atlanta is a pleasant, energetic location widely known for its exceptional low-cost recreational opportunities that every tourist looks forward to taking part in. The city’s wonderful urban parks are another opportunity to discover Atlanta on a limited budget.

Piedmont Park and Stone Mountain Park are two of my favorites. Why did I pick these two places to go? Mostly because you can combine two popular activities here: hiking and cultural events. Sounds awesome, right?

Don’t forget to snap plenty of photographs of the surroundings while you’re on your city break so you can look back on them afterward. Especially the street art murals located on the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside. Atlanta offers a wide variety of possibilities for inexpensive lodging. Hotels can cost between $50 and $150 per night.

4. San Antonio, Texas

Are you ready for some Southern experience? If you’re living far away from Texas but have always wanted to visit it, this summer might be the time! San Antonio is another top-notch destination for all urban lovers who also want to save some money.

In Texas, you have a multitude of budget-friendly activities that will make you enjoy the state to the fullest. First and foremost, the essential thing on your bucket list must be San Antonio River Walk. In addition to being completely free to explore, this picturesque promenade rewards tourists and citizens with a dizzying array of eating, shopping, and cultural activities.

If you’re going on a city break with your spouse, and you want to try out one of these restaurants it is recommended that you book a table for dinner. It’s usually pretty crowded, especially in the evening!

5. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

If traveling back in time is your dream, then pack your bags and get ready for a city break in Philadelphia! This place offers a wide range of activities that are affordable for everyone. You don’t know where to start. My recommendation is to begin your tour of historical sights and attractive buildings at the Fairmount Waterworks and Museum of Art. You’ll be astonished!

Ensure that you include Independence Hall as well, the building in which the US Constitution was signed. Are you a fan of Edgar Allan Poe’s poetry? You’ll be happy to know that his home is also open to visitors in Philadelphia.

And before ending your city break in Philadelphia, don’t forget to check out the famous local dish, the “Philly Cheesesteak,” plus many other goodies to indulge yourself in. Another place in which you can have an extraordinary city break, or a weekend getaway and never get bored! Although there are many people in this area during the summer, it is a year-round destination with activities for all interests and budgets!

Try riding the sky wheel to get a bird’s-eye view of Myrtle Beach if you’re not frightened of heights. You may embark on a kayak journey with your loved ones while here and indulge your inner adventurer. It will be enjoyable, for sure!

7. Salt Lake City, Utah

We slowly got to our last city break destination on the list. Salt Lake City is an amazing place to spend your autumn. However, a lot of this depends on the types of holiday activities you enjoy. If you love warm but not scorching summers, the best time to book your journey to Salt Lake is in September. Kids have already started school, the streets aren’t as crowded as they are during the summer, and the biggest perk is that you can get big discounts on hotel rooms. Sounds nice, right?

If you’re not in a hurry and you want to spend more than just a weekend in Salt Lake City, then make sure you check out the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Here you can access a 500-seat theater that usually hosts various interesting movies for all ages.
