6. Agistri – Greece

If you would prefer not to experience the hustle and bustle of the big city but vacation somewhere quiet and inexpensive, then the island of Agistri is just what the doctor ordered. Idyllic and colorful, this small island has beautiful sandy and shingle beaches that are perfect for relaxing as well as snorkeling. It’s easy to get around on the cheap by renting a motorbike, hopping public transport, or even taking a water taxi.

The island’s center is covered in Pine forest, perfect for hiking through. A reasonably priced meal should see you spend around $25 per day as there are lots of little restaurants serving traditional Greek cuisine. The island offers good quality accommodation in many beautiful locations with outstanding views. Today’s average price for a 3-star hotel in Agistri Town is around 35 $ per night.

  1. i HAVE BEEN TO ALL BUT ONE OF THESE PLACES ( Phu ket), it would be great to visit there. I’ve traveled extensively through Russia and Georgia and found the citizens warm and friendly nothing like i’m seeing in the Ukraine invasion. I entertained 6 Russians from our catering company in our Moscow kitchen and find, “they are just like us” it’s their shitty governmont thats the problem.
