10. Bighorn National Forest, Wyoming
Compared to other national forests, Bighorn is a little bit underrated. However, this doesn’t mean that it’s not appreciated — it’s still a beautiful forest. Bighorn National Forest is truly a wonder for those who love spending their free time outdoors.
One of the best things about Bighorn National Forest is its location, situated halfway between Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore.
In other words, you CAN’T get bored here. Overall, the area gives you the sensation of a classic forest filled with alpine pine, aspen, spruce, and fir, not to mention the population of black bears, coyotes, moose, deer, elk, and grouse.
