This is a hidden gem that will give you access to mesmerizing natural wonders and a beautiful check in case you decide to move there. This is one of those charming small towns where you can go and just walk your dog alongside the most gorgeous lake in the morning while you are drinking your coffee.

With a population of just 3,000 people, this place quickly became part of West Virginia’s Ascend program. This is a program designed to attract remote workers, and anyone who is willing to move to the region will get financial assistance.

Successful applicants receive $12,000 to help cover relocation and setup costs, making the transition to the Appalachian Mountains both affordable and appealing.

Fayetteville is the place you move if you are an outdoor enthusiast. It is located near America’s newest national park, the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, and we guarantee that here you will be able to see some of the most beautiful landscapes ever. Also, there are many activities you can do. From hiking to rafting, you’ll find something you love.

Muscle Shoals, Alabama ($10,000)

“Sweet home Alabama, where the skies are so blue.” This is what most of us would sing if someone would pay us $10,000 to move here. But wait! This is real! Muscle Shoals is one of the small towns on this list. Located along the Tennessee River in northern Alabama. It has a population of only 15.000 residents, and this is why they now have a program that pays you to move there.

Muscle Shoals wants to encourage growth and launched this program meant to attract remote workers, aka U.S. residents earning over $52,000 per year. If you are one of them, you can receive up to $10,000 in installments as a relocation incentive.

But why would you want to move here, right? This little town played a major role in American music history because of two well-known studios: FAME Studio and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. In the 60s and 70s, these were the places where Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, and the Rolling Stones recorded some of their most iconic tracks.

Besides being one of the small towns, Muscle Shoals is located about 90 minutes away from Huntsville. This is a very fast-growing city, and it provides easy access to a broader range of urban amenities and job markets.

Delphi, Indiana ($5,000)
